Welcome to the homepage of Agehachô Budôkai :
The Budo Association of the Swallowtail Butterfly
The name of this organisation is refering to the name of the Kamon (family crest) of the Katsumata family which is called : "Age ha no chô" : a butterfly with erected wings. It is the courtesy of Katsumata sensei to let us use his crest.
This organisation is the Home of Tamiya Shinken Ryu in Europe with study groups in France, Luxemburg, Switserland, Hungary and Slovakia.
We are members of the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei, therefore you will also find some feedback on ZNKR iaido and ZNKR jodo.

HAKONE JINJYA
This is one of the most famous shrines in Japan and has been honoured from ancient times as "Hakone Gongen". (The great incarnation of deity in Hakone)
It has a wonderfull Budohall were the yearly 8th dan, Hanshi iaido taikai is hosted.
It is also the practicehall for Tamiya Shinken Ryu.
